Who are our classes named after?
Fothergill - Watson Fothergill was a famous architect known for designing many beautiful buildings in Nottingham during the late 1800s and early 1900s. His unique style often featured colorful bricks, detailed woodwork, and tall, pointed roofs. Today, his buildings are admired for their creativity and are an important part of our city's history.
Tagore - Rabindranath Tagore was a renowned Indian poet, writer and philosopher who won the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1913, making him the first non-European to do so. He loved nature deeply, and this is reflected in much of his poetry and writing. Tagore also wrote the national anthems of both India and Bangladesh and founded Visva-Bharati University.
Bridgetower - George Bridgetower was a talented violinist and composer who lived in the late 18th and early 19th centuries. Known for his incredible musical skills, he performed for famous composers like Beethoven and left a lasting impact on classical music. His achievements continue to inspire musicians and are a proud part of our cultural heritage.
