Spring 1

Welcome Back!

Happy New Year! We hope you had a wonderful Christmas break. This term is full of new learning, challenges, and chances to shine. Take your time settling back into routines — we’re here to support each other.

We can’t wait to see your smiles and hear about your holidays. Let’s make this a fantastic term!

What will we be learning about this half term?

We’ve got an exciting term ahead! In Science, we’ll be exploring electricity and even have a thrilling trip to Magna Science Museum to see it in action. In PSHE, we’ll focus on relationships and how to build positive connections. In RE, we’ll be learning about prayer and worship.

In Computing, we’ll dive into coding, creating our own programs and solving challenges. History takes us back to Roman Britain, uncovering fascinating stories from the past. And in DT, we’ll be designing and building pavilions, putting our creativity and engineering skills to the test.

It’s going to be a fun, hands on term full of learning and discovery!

English Immersion - Volcano Eruptions!

In English, we are reading about the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in Pompeii and learning what life was like when the volcano erupted. To help us use exciting and powerful vocabulary in our writing, we became volcanologists and made our own volcanoes! We used descriptive words to explain the rumbling, exploding lava and clouds of ash, just like in the story. Our classrooms has been full of creativity, curiosity, and fantastic language learning.
