Request for Term Time Leave
Regular attendance is important for children's learning, wellbeing, and sense of belonging. For this reason, holidays should be taken during school holiday periods wherever possible.
In line with government guidance, Headteachers can only authorise leave of absence during term time in exceptional circumstances.
If you need to request leave during term time, you must:
- Submit a leave of absence request before the absence takes place.
- Wait for the Headteacher's decision before making any travel or other arrangements.
Please be aware that leave taken without prior authorisation, including family holidays during term time, may be recorded as unauthorised and could result in a penalty notice or other legal action.
